Patricia “Faye” McCarthy

On January 27, Patricia “Faye” McCarthy left this life, stepping into the loving light of the Holy Spirit. Pat was born to the late Albert Hogg and Stella Howard. in 1930. She was raised as “Faye” with her sisters, at the Children’s Home in Hamilton. Patricia was known for her kind, generous nature and well appointed, fashionable appearance. She enjoyed socializing, shopping, and reading. Pat loved her family and friends, and received great joy spending time with her great-grandchildren; Savannah, Blake, and Bryce. She began her early career as a photographer for Mabley & Carew in Cincinnati. Pat spent years in sales and after retirement enjoyed a position as a Greeter at Meijer’s in Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin McCarthy in 1968; her two sisters Betty Reynolds and Bea Thomas. She was the proud mother of Bridget (Mike) McCarthy-Osswald of Wayne Twp. & Greg (Mook) McCarthy of Thailand; Grandmother of Richard (Lacey) McCarthy of Mt. Orab, & her sweet Scarlet (Jason) Holmes of Ross Twp.; she had five beautiful great-grandchildren, special nephew & niece Chris & Sally Grenner; special cousin Charles Morrison of TN.; many other relatives and friends. Pat also leaves her caring Schroder family of friends & staff. There will be a Funeral Mass for her at Schroder (Bradford Place) 1302 Millville Ave. in Hamilton, Thursday February 6, at 10:30 with Fr. Mike Pucke officiating. Bridget & Scarlet would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff (Tammy, Tina, Daryl, Kelly, Jennifer, Carrie, etc.) and Dr. R. Pattimarajah at Fort Hamilton Hospital for their compassion, & Hospice of Cincinnati for their support. We would like to express our gratitude to Father Pucke, Pastor John, and Minister Larry.
