Homer (Jr.) E. Mann

Homer (Jr.) E. Mann of Cincinnati, OH passed away at the age of 68 on December 17, 2013 beloved husband of Elaine (Eckes) Mann, loving father of Michele, Leslie, and Valerie, father-in-law of Barry Young, grandfather of Kyle, Ivy, Clayton, Evelyn, Casey, and Corey, great grandfather to Lorelei and KK. Brother to Ruby, Ramona, and Marvin, brother-in-law to Bob (deceased), Jim, Marie, George & Lavo...nne, Richard & Peggy, Rose & Will, Paul & Kathy, Ray, and Martha. Jr. retired as a labor organizer for the teamsters who always fought for the rights of the working man.
Jr. was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fly fishing and trips to Colorado with his father and brother and trips to Gatlinburg with his whole family. Jr. enjoyed watching UC & Bengal's football and boxing.

Steven Poe

Steven Poe November 9, 2013 age 53
Preceded in death by his father Boyd. Survived by his mother Mary and brother Michael, son Ryan, nephews Conor, Aidan and niece Eva.
After finishing a six year term with the Army, Steve got his associates degree in physical education and fitness instruction as well as a black belt in Tae Kwon Doe. He taught many others the benefits of staying healthy and self defense.

He will be missed by all.

Allisyn Susan Nobby Lewis of Lebanon, Ohio died on October 18, 2013 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash. A memorial service will be held at the Lebanon Presbyterian Church at a time not yet determined.

Linda Heimbach

Linda Ingeborg Heimbach, 74, beloved wife of the late Lawrence Heimbach, passed away in the loving care of her children on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Born October 13, 1938 in Germany, she is survived by her two brothers, Wolfgang Troeger and Roland Troeger; three daughters, Susan Jacobs, Lori Pegg and Linda Hazelbaker; one son, David Heimbach; nine grandchildren, Zachary, Andrew, Katie, Makenzie, Leah, Lily, Sofie, Nora and Ethan. Memorial services were held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Evergreen Retirement Community from 3-5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials were made to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263.

Gayle B. Weston

Gayle B. Weston, 1937 - 2013, dedicated mother and friend, passed away on July 30, 2013, surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.  Gayle loved to travel and was passionate about world cultures and the arts.  She was a docent at the Cincinnati Art Museum for twenty-three years and an avid gardener.  At the age of 46, Gayle graduated from the University of Cincinnati, demonstrating that it is never too late to accomplish your goals.  Gayle approached life with humor and wit. Her family and friends gave her daily strength.  Gayle's lasting legacy is her family, Lisa Abrams (Terry); Carol Firmage (John); Scott Weston (Julie); Lynn Ward (Matt); dedicated companion, Stanley Wacksman and his children; sister, Pat Gatherum; and twelve amazing grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cincinnati Art Museum, The Beechwood Home, or a charity of Choice. Florence "Dolly" Anna Prack

Florence Anna Prack "Dolly" died peacefully on May 26, 2013 after a short illness. Born in Braddock, Pennsylvania, Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Arthur; her parents, Rafael and Julia Czernek; and her brothers, Ralph, Edmund and Raymond Czernek.  She is survived by daughters Linda (Edward) Snodgrass, Laura (Don) Horn, Donna (Doug) Fortenberry, son Arthur (Lyda) Prack, stepson Earl (Joan) Prack and sister Regina Cenname. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She loved her family, her church, and Summers Best Two Weeks Camp.  A celebration in her memory will be held at Northmister Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio on June 29, 2013 at 3:00 pm.  Memorial  contributions may be made to Summers Best Two Weeks, 111 Lake Gloria Drive, Boswell, Pa. 15531-2509.

Boyd Lee Poe

Boyd Lee Poe, May 23 2013, age 81
Beloved husband of Mary Poe(nee Moore) of 54 years. Father to Steven and Michael. Grandfather to Ryan, Conor, Aidan and Eva. Preceded in death by his parents Norman and Eva Mae Poe, sisters Phyllis and Betty Lou. Survived by his brothers Marvin, and Norman Jr., sisters Shirley Walker and Patty Thrasher.

After serving 8 years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and Reserves after,where he honed his love of mechanical and civil engineering. He worked as a machinist and tool designer for several firms including Continental Plastic Container for 38 years. After his retirement in 2001 he indulged in his hobbies of spending time with his grand kids, photography and visiting Civil War battlefields.

Scott Aiken

Shirley Ann Wilhite,


Wilhite, Shirley Ann (nee Walker) age 72, of Atlanta, GA, passed away, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Hospice of Cincinnati, the Blue Ash location.
The daughter of Clarence and Lera B (Robinson) Walker, was born January 27, 1940 in Kirksville, Missouri.  She resided in Green City until she was united in marriage to the late Donovan Wilhite Jr and to this union a son and a daughter were born.
Shirley is survived by her son, Don (Carol) Wilhite of Atlanta, GA; her daughter Teresa (Richard) Hauke of Cincinnati, OH; two grandchildren, Donovan IV (Alex) and Richard; four step-grandchildren, Tina, Mark, Rhea and Jackie; nine step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; her sister Clarice Shemwell of Jefferson City, Missouri.
Before her retirement, she was employed at Kirksville Manor Care as a medical technician. In 1996, after the death of her husband, she moved away to Atlanta to be closer to her family.  In her later years she enjoyed being on her computer,  playing online games or  tracking family and friends on facebook. She loved being with her family and treasured the trips back and forth from Georgia to Cincinnati to spend time with them.
